From 13 to 18 October 2025, the Prof. Filip Lukas Elementary School hosted students and teachers from the Szent Ágoston Keresztény Általános Iskola és Gimnázium school in the Hungarian town of Fóta, located near Budapest. According to teacher Tihana, this visit also resulted from their Erasmus+ project KA122 Learn Sustain, which aims to promote and implement the Sustainable Development Goals and encourage students to actively participate in shaping a sustainable future through learning, collaboration and creative activities.
The students presented their schools, their regions and their countries, after which they participated in a series of interesting workshops. They completed a logotherapy workshop on diversity and inclusion, a workshop on gender equality, a workshop on European values, sustainable development, a traditional music workshop and a workshop on youth activism.
Some of the professors also participated in observing the teaching of their colleagues at the host school, which further enriched the mutual exchange of experiences and ideas.
As part of the project, ten students and three teachers arrived in Kaštela. During a dynamic and inspiring week, Kaštela students and teachers took their guests through Kaštela, Klis, Split, Trogir and the Krka National Park. During the excursion, the students visited the Falconry Center in Dubrava as part of a tour of the Krka National Park, and in Šibenik they toured the Cathedral of St. James. A particularly interesting activity was the Treasure Hunt in Split, during which the students learned about the rich historical and cultural heritage of the city in a fun way. At the Kaštela City Museum, guests had the opportunity to learn about the story of the origin of Kaštela and its historical importance.
- Given that Erasmus Days are being celebrated these days, and this year's theme is promoting European values, we can agree that there is no better way to celebrate them than by socializing, learning, and exchanging experiences in the European spirit - said teacher Tihana.
