Organized by the Bijaći Society, on Tuesday, October 21, in the multipurpose hall of Kaštela Vitturi in Kaštel Lukšić, a public lecture was held as part of the Local Hub program under the intriguing title "Artificial Intelligence: Where is the World Going?". The guest lecturer was Dr. Ivan Biliškov, director of the Split-based software company Codeasy, an expert with extensive international experience and a contemporary promoter of the application of artificial intelligence in business and everyday life.
Dr. Biliškov has more than fifteen years of experience in managing international projects, and is known to the wider public as the co-founder of a successful American startup that he sold in 2020, after receiving a number of recognitions and awards. Today, as the CEO of Codeasy, he leads a team specializing in the development of personalized AI agents, business analysis and communication systems, and audio guides for the tourism industry.
During the lecture, the discussion focused on how artificial intelligence is changing our everyday lives, business models, and even the very understanding of work and knowledge. Dr. Biliškov emphasized:
– We are gathered here to find out how artificial intelligence affects people, humanity and society – what will happen to jobs and the development of the entire society. Society is growing and developing, and we want to show people how to successfully use such tools to start their own business or improve their work.
His approach was practical, but also philosophical: artificial intelligence, he emphasized, is not a magic tool that will solve all challenges, but a technology that needs to be learned to understand and applied responsibly:
– In any case, there is control, regulations and, of course, the most important thing – education and critical thinking. My impression at the moment is certainly positive - added Biliškov.
The lecture raised numerous questions that go beyond the technological framework: can artificial intelligence really replace human creativity, and where to draw the line between useful automation and loss of authenticity?
At a time when artificial intelligence is entering almost every sphere of life – from business and healthcare to art and education – a lecture like this one in Kaštela is a reminder that the future depends not only on technology, but on the people who create and use it.
The Local Hub program and the activities of the Bijaći Society have once again shown with this event how important it is to open a space for dialogue between experts and the community. Because while the world is moving forward faster than ever, one question remains – will we know how to manage our own inventions wisely and responsibly?
