Record budget for 2026 adopted, exceeding 54 million euros
The 4th session of the City Council of Kaštela was held today in the City Hall, the last of this year, at which the councilors voted on all 45 items on the agenda. This adopted the largest budget of the City to date, weighing 54 million euros. The councilors also accepted a proposal to increase garbage collection and new collection times, as well as new fines for users.

Kaštela City Library brings back the tradition of carol singing

On Thursday, December 18, 2025, starting at 4:00 p.m., after a gathering at the Kula na Glavica in Kaštel Sućurac, the Kaštela City Library is organizing a return to the times when Christmas caroling was done in houses during Advent, singing the old Sućurac carol, to the times when the verses of the old carol and traditional Croatian Christmas songs could be heard in the castle courtyards and alleys.

A new battery-powered train was introduced into regular service at Split Railway Station today on the Split - Kaštel Stari - Split route, marking an important step forward in the development of sustainable and modern rail transport in the Split-Dalmatia County.

With the new train timetable, on December 14th, two new stops for passengers, Sveti Kajo and Solin Širina, were opened to rail traffic on the Kaštela - Split railway section.
